A field trip to the Grande Motte Glacier!

Corentin and Louis C went with researchers from Grenoble and Lausanne to the Grande Motte glacier, which tops the Tignes ski resort. Using small boats, they deployed temperature and velocity sensors to survey water conditions in lake Rosolin, which sits on both rocks and the glacier itself. Their team aims to understand the lake circulation as well as its influence on the fate of the glacier, which it eats up through melting.
